Around Woman

Julia Rommel's first book presents the artist's paintings, essays, and drawings. Like most of her early work, the book is small – appropriately novel-like considering how many of its pages are filled with stories and writing. The few featured large paintings are shown only as details, as if they cannot be confined to small spaces.

Rommel's drawings are reproduced at full size and printed on stock reminiscent of sketchbook paper, so the book version are as close as possible to the real-life objects.
